Lana Jewelry

Fallon Headshot

Fallon and I met while planning events together. We have known each other for over 4 years now and our relationship both professional and fun has only grown in strength as the months and years wear on. I applaud Fallon for following her dreams and growing within a company. Fallon knew what she wanted and went after it. Her experiences are unprecedented with Lana. She gets to shoot on set for all campaigns and lookbooks, walk the red carpet and dress the stars and the fun doesn’t stop there. Read more as Fallon Tells all!

  • Tell me a little bit about how you got started. ..

I took my first internship at Lana Jewelry while I was a PR/Advertising student at DePaul University. I knew I wanted to be a publicist, and working in the Lana environment helped me foresee my future in fashion PR. I was hired on after my internship, my part-time position became full-time, and here I am 5 years later

  • Why PR?

I love the personal touch of the field and bringing products/services to life. I enjoy being responsible for communicating a brand to the public, and creating the relationship with a consumer. There are so many avenues and opportunities to publicize a product;  it’s so rewarding to implement efforts and see a return.

  • Favorite Working Girl moment?

My favorite #WorkingGirl moment is when Rachel Wille (former #WorkingGirl-referred intern) became a full-time Lana employee on the PR team. We have achieved so many goals together, problem-solved challenges, celebrated successes, and learned so much from each other. It’s been awesome!

  • What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is opening up an issue of  magazine, seeing a Lana Jewelry placement inside, and knowing our team did that!

  • Best Career Advice

I always tell girls to do everything you’re told plus more, and do it with hustle and a smile. You can’t prove that you’re capable of doing something until you do it. The field is so competitive these days, and the girls who stand out are the ones that go the extra mile. Also, network, network, network.

Favorite #girlboss quote

“Don’t stop until you no longer have to introduce yourself.”

(Although I don’t know that even then you should stop… maybe just take a few more vacation days!) :)
